SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan’s Military Heritage Museum and Education Center is set to open its doors on Saturday.
Larry Hinkelman said two years of work has been done to transform the former Alliant Energy building on South Eighth Street into a museum place. He hopes that the location will help with promoting their motto, "Honoring our past, educating our future", by showing kid and adult visitors items donated from area veterans and their families that are expected to span from the Civil War to today.
The museum will be open from 10 to 3 everyday until July 7th. Then it will be open every weekend until their grand opening August 17 and 18. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.
