The Marquette Golden Eagles narrowly avoided a first round exit in the NCAA Tournament by rallying past Davidison 59-58 on Vander Blue's layup with just one second to play.  The third seeded Golden Eagles found themselves in quite a battle with the 14th seeded Wildcats.  Davidson built a 49-40 lead with just over six minutes to play before Marquette finally found the range from the three point line.  Blue knocked down a long one and Jamil Wilson added another as Marquette closed to within a point with time running out.  Backcourt pressure led to an errant pass that went out of bounds at mid-court with just over five seconds remaining.  That was more than enough time for Blue to catch the inbounds pass and drive down the left side of the lane before banking in the game winning shot.  Blue then intercepted the desperation inbounds pass and Marquette moves on.   Blue led the Golden Eagles with 16 points, Jamil Wilson added 14.  Marquette (24-8) advances to meet Butler in round three in Lexington, Kentucky Saturday.
