MANITOWOC, WI (WHBL) - Two Rivers Police Chief Joe Collins has released the names of the victim and suspect in Tuesday night's road rage chase that took the life of a Two Rivers man and landed a 22 year old Manitowoc man in the county jail. The victim was identified as 19 year old Eric Neuman. The suspect is Shaun Lischka, who is facing homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and hit and run causing death charges. Lischka was arrested at his Manitowoc home after fleeing the scene of the crash on Memorial Drive in Manitowoc. Two Rivers Police Lieutenant John Reimer said Neuman went to a Manitowoc factory with three other males to settle a fight with Lischka. Reimer indicated no fight occurred, and Neuman and three other males - ages 16, 19 and 20 - jumped into a pickup truck with the suspect in pursuit. The chase continued on Memorial Drive when Lischka sideswiped the truck, resulting in Neuman losing control and crashing into a guardrail. Neuman suffered a head injury when he was ejected from the vehicle, and died at a local hospital. A 16 year old in Neuman's truck sustained a minor head injury, was taken to a local hospital, and later released to his parents. Lischka was due for a bail hearing Wednesday afternoon in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. The Wisconsin State patrol will do a complete crash reconstruction.
