SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan South High School Principal Mike Trimberger could earn the chance to help improve public education nationwide. He was in Washington D.C. Monday interviewing as a finalist for the inaugural Principal Ambassador Fellowship.
This U.S. Department of Education program is an opportunity for select principals from across the country to learn more about federal programs and policies and how to develop and implement them in schools.
Trimberger has been a principal at South and Sheridan Elementary schools for five years and is the current president of Inside Sheboygan County, which helps to build connections between schools and local businesses to help students be college and career ready.
In a statement, Trimberger said it is a humbling honor to represent the Sheboygan Area School District and embraces the chance to share nationally what has been done locally to improve education.
