Finley, a boa constrictor found in Sheboygan County, needs a home

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Humane Society is looking for a home for Finley, but whoever adopts her will have to know something about snakes.

Finley is an 8 foot long boa constrictor which turned up in a yard in the town of Wilson a couple of weeks ago.  The property owner called the Humane Society and workers were able to capture the reptile and take it to the shelter.  Finley has since been placed in foster care with one of the shelter workers, but they are hoping to find her a permanent home.

Jesse Olsen, of the Humane Society, talked Thursday morning with Kelly Meyer on Sheboygan’s Morning News, saying the society is going to make sure that whoever gets selected will provide a good home for her.  Whoever may be interested can contact the society, set up an appointment to see her, and then a final decision will be made.

Olsen said they are theorizing that the snake became too large for its original owner and was released.
