GLENDALE, WI (WTAQ) - Students at a suburban Milwaukee high school were sent home Wednesday morning, after a bomb threat.
Authorities said a note with a vague threat was found at Glendale Nicolet High School -- and an emergency lockdown took place.
Officers swept through the building and found two packages -- one in a first floor bathroom, and one on the second floor.
District teaching director Brenda Turner said the packages resulted in the building being evacuated.
About 1,100 students were sent to a nearby elementary school, where they were picked up and sent home for the day.
The packages had nothing dangerous, and the Nicolet building was declared safe by 12:30 p.m. -- so the youngsters got some extra time off. They'll return to classes Thursday.
