Gov. Walker: President Obama could delay health care law

MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker now says there's at least a chance that President Obama will delay the major parts of his health care reform law.

The Republican Walker cited growing pressure from both parties.

He noted that outgoing Senate Democrat Max Baucus of Montana called Obamacare a "train wreck" back in April. Also, Walker says a one-year delay in making employers provide coverage could spur a delay in the individual requirement to buy insurance which begins on January 1st.

Walker has strongly opposed Obamacare, and has called for its repeal -- but the governor does not believe that Obama would ever agree to repeal the health care law for good.

Walker made his comments after he spoke Tuesday morning to the Wisconsin Counties' Association's meeting in Madison.
