CASCADE, WI (WHBL) - A Milwaukee man was injured Friday afternoon in an accident caused by a driver who left the scene. The Sheriff’s Department said it happened at the intersection of County S and V west of the village of Cascade around 1:30. Authorities said a van driven by 29 year old Louis Kelly was approaching the intersection when an unidentified vehicle went through the stop sign. Kelly swerved to avoid the vehicle, went into the ditch, went airborne and hit a utility pole about 8 to 10 feet above the ground. His van then landed in the ditch and rolled 3 times, coming to rest on the driver's side. Kelly was taken to St. Nicholas Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
