SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man faces a theft charge for stealing items while working at Gander Mountain. According to the criminal complaint, the store manager told the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department that 30 year old Ryan Puls had taken over $5,200 of merchandise since October of last year.
When authorities talked to Puls he admitted to the crime, saying he would place the items either in a store bag or on a front counter and then leave the store with the items when his shift ended. When asked why he did it, he said he wanted to go fishing with friends with the items he stole. He also sold some of the items on Craigslist so that he could support his wife and three kids.
He now faces up to six years in prison if found guilty.
