SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A volunteer firefighter has been arrested in connection with a couple of fires which occurred recently in the town of Russell in Sheboygan County. 22 year old Jacob Ausloos of New Holstein faces two felony arson charges for the blazes.
Sheriff’s Captain Dave Adams said the fires occurred on August 5th outside of St. Paul’s Christian Church on County J, and August 6th for a barn fire on County H which damaged the barn. He is also accused of starting a barn fire in Calumet County.
According to the criminal complaint, Ausloos said he started the church fire because he did not like the church and the barn fire because he was bored. He now faces up to 95 years in prison if found guilty of all charges.
