MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - Pirates third baseman Josh Harrison homered, doubled, singled and drove in five runs in Pittsburgh’s 8-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Friday night. Harrison’s father was watching from the stands at the Pirates pulled to within five games of the division leaders. Yovani Gallardo gave up six runs – three earned – in five innings to take the loss. His teammates had given him a two-run lead in the first, but Pittsburgh pulled in front to stay with a three-run second inning. All three of Harrison’s hits came with two outs. Jeff Locke only gave up two hits, but he walked six while picking up his fifth victory. Andrew McCutcheon hit his 18th home run. The Brewers were held to six hits total, but they got a home run from Ryan Braun. Wily Peralta goes for Milwaukee today at Miller Park, while Edinson Volquez pitches for the Pirates.
