MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers were rolled over in both games of their doubleheader with the Cincinnati Reds at Miller Park. Adrian Houser gave up four runs in four innings as the Brewers fell to the Reds 6-1 in Game 1. Omar Narvaez homered in the sixth for Milwaukee’s lone run.
Jesse Winker homered twice to back five shutout innings from Sonny Gray for the Reds.
The Brew Crew was shutout 6-0 in Game 2. An infield single by Luis Urias was the only Brewers’ hit. Josh Lindblom gave up two runs in four innings to take the loss.
Wade Miley and two relievers combined on the one-hitter for Cincinnati.
The Brewers have lost six of their last eight games. They’ll welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Miller Park for the weekend. Game one of the three-game series is Friday night.
