SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A former Sheboygan Q-Mart employee is charged for planning a robbery at her place of work more than two years ago.
20 year old Carrisa Lewis faces theft and obstructing charges for her role in the robbery of the North Taylor Drive convenience store in December of 2011. She told Sheboygan Police back then that she was working as an attendant when a woman forced her to give over $1,200 from a safe and cash registers.
It was not until earlier this month that authorities got a tip of who the robber was. An investigation determined the robber, 19 year old Taylor Stepniewski of Milwaukee, was living with Lewis at the time and it was Lewis who came up with the robbery idea in order to pay for rent.
Lewis, who now lives in North Dakota, faces up to 10 years, nine months in prison if found guilty.
