MADISON, WI (WHBL) - Michigan ended a string of 11 straight losses in Madison with a 77-70 victory over the Wisconsin men's basketball team Saturday night. The Badgers dropped their second straight game after a 16-0 start, and they're sure to tumble down the national polls on Monday after being ranked third a week ago. The Wolverines never trailed in the second half, and they led by as many as 15 before the Badgers got to within one with less than a minute left. Nik Stauskas then took over, hitting a three-pointer and going 6 for 6 from the foul line to seal Michigan's victory. Stauskas had a game-high 23 points. Caris LeVert added 20 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals as the Wolverines won their seventh straight game to improve to 5-0 in the Big Ten and 13-4 overall. Josh Gasser scored 16 points for the Badgers. Sam Dekker added 10 points and 10 boards, as Wisconsin fell to 3-2 in the conference and 16-2 overall. The Badgers will play at Minnesota on Wednesday night.
