Sheboygan man charged for leading law enforcement on chase

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man faces four charges for leading law enforcement on a chase from Sheboygan to Cleveland Monday.  28-year-old Joshua Blaney was charged Wednesday with attempted fleeing, endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and carrying a concealed weapon.

According to the criminal complaint, Blaney got into an argument with his wife at their residence in the 1500 block of New Jersey Avenue, eventually leaving around 4:40 p.m. with a loaded revolver in his waistband and saying he was going to and have “fun” with police and end his life.

Sheboygan Police noticed his vehicle a few minutes later and attempted to stop him, but he led them on a high speed chase through Sheboygan and northbound on I-43.  Manitowoc and Sheboygan County Sheriff’s officials found him later that evening in a field along County LS in Cleveland.

Blaney told police he has anger issues and never wanted things to end up this way.  He could get over 14 years in prison if found guilty.
