ANAHEIM, CA (WHBL) - Wisconsin is heading to the N-C-A-A Final Four, defeating top-seeded Arizona in an epic 64-63 overtime battle for the West Regional in Anaheim on Saturday night. This will be coach Bo Ryan’s first Final Four appearance in 13 seasons. Junior Frank Kaminsky played an incredible game, leading all scorers with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Arizona had a chance to pull off the win following a lengthy review with two-point-three seconds left in the game, but PAC-12 Player of the Year Nick Johnson was unable to hit the game-winning shot. The Badgers will play the winner of the Midwest Regional - Kentucky or Michigan - on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Tucson, Arizona police say 16 people were arrested Saturday night following the Wildcats' loss to Wisconsin. A road was blocked on the University of Arizona campus by several hundred people, who refused to leave when ordered by police. Some members of the crowd then threw rocks, bottles and other objects at police. Pepper balls and canisters had to be used by police - decked out in riot gear - to disperse the crowd. Those arrested were charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly.
