MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - Yovani Gallardo earned his first win since April 6th as the Milwaukee Brewers beat Baltimore 8-3 at Miller Park Wednesday night. The veteran right-hander went six-and-two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on four hits with five walks and five strikeouts. It was the night after Gallardo belted a walk-off double, giving Milwaukee the final two victories in its three-game set with the Orioles. Scooter Gennett put the Crew in front for good in the third inning with a sacrifice fly, and the Brewers put the game away with four runs in the eighth. Milwaukee's Khris Davis belted a three-run homer, and Ryan Braun went 2 for 3 with a pair of R-B-I's and a run scored. Milwaukee out-hit the O's 10-9. The Crew now has at least 10 hits in a season-high eighth straight games. Jonathan Lucroy ended a nine-game hitting streak, but Carlos Gomez extended his string to nine with a double and a single. Former Brewers' prospect Nelson Cruz had a pair of solo homers for Baltimore, giving him a Major League-leading 19 for the year. Bud Norris took the loss, giving up four runs in six innings. He's now 3-5, as Baltimore has now dropped six of its last ten. Gallardo is now 3-3 after pitching his first game since May 20th when he hurt an ankle on a defensive play at Atlanta. The Brewers are off today, and will host the Chicago Cubs Friday night.
