MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Bucks and big man Giannis Antetokounmpo have reached a five-year, 228-million-dollar supermax contract extension. It’s the largest deal in NBA history. It will include an opt-out after the fourth year.
Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP, is coming off his best year, averaging career highs with 29.5 points and 13.6 rebounds.
Had Giannis not signed the deal, he would have been a free agent at the end of the season and could have left Milwaukee. Giannis took to Twitter yesterday to say Milwaukee is his home and his city.
