Data varies widely from day-to-day, but when measuring COVID-19 in Sheboygan County according to the 2-week data as recommended by the County Division of Public Health, our trends are headed in the right direction. Sheboygan County currently ranks a “Very High” activity level, with a case burden of 691.6 per 100,000 population. In the last two weeks, the trajectory declined 41%.
By the numbers, of the 90 test results received since Monday, 31 – or 34% – were positive for the coronavirus. In the same time, 43 persons recovered, and the active case count declined 12 to 836. 11,514 persons in the county have now had COVID-19, and 94 have died because of it. 14 persons…7 less than on Monday…are hospitalized.
Wisconsin added 3,403 new cases of COVID-19 to the records today, putting the total so far at 491,341. Those new positives were over 41% of all tests returned. 95 deaths were recorded since yesterday, putting the death toll at 4,979. 216 more persons were hospitalized, and after accounting for deaths and discharges, the COVID-19 patient population in Wisconsin fell 20 to 1,102. 245 of those are in ICU beds, and 470 patients in all are on ventilators. Some of those could be among the 62 patients still awaiting their test results.
