Some consider the start of spring to be March 20th since that’s the Vernal Equinox, while others go with today, March 1st, which is the first day of meteorological spring. Regardless, the beginning of spring signals high season for roadwork; there’ll be lots of that in Sheboygan County beginning this week, and the Wisconsin DOT is asking drivers to slow down to protect workers when you’re passing by those areas.
On Tuesday, maintenance crews will be repairing beam guards on both sides of Highway 57 between County Highway “V” and Wilson Lima Road from 9:30 AM until 2 PM – that project will employ flag crews.
Cable barriers on both lanes of I-43 will be repaired this Tuesday and Wednesday in several locations in the County, closing various lanes during that operation.
On Thursday from 8 until 10 AM, crews will repair beam guards on both sides of Highway 23 at Julie Court just east of Greenbush, and flagging operations will be in place. Those crews will then move east to between Coary Lane and Twinkle Lane to repair pavement on both lanes of Highway 23 from 10 AM until 1 PM, so watch for the flagging and maintenance crews there.
