When COVID cancelled a second consecutive season of the popular Levitt Amp Series concerts on the City Green, it seemed that an already large void in Sheboygan’s social scene grew even larger. It now appears that the void will be at least partially filled, as the John Michael Kohler Arts Center will present the final three of its “Return to the Real Music Series” concerts on three Thursday evenings.
The organization has applied to the City to hold the concerts as it had the Levitt series on the Arts Center grounds and City Green, and the City’s Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee is fast-tracking those applications for events on August 26th, and September 9th and 30th. The Arts Center’s website said that, as with the Levitt series, food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The August 26th event is being billed as a “back-to-school” event with alternative rock group “Cold Soda Club”. “The Claudettes” who are scheduled to play September 9th are said to be a “skewed cabaret band”, and closing the three-concert series on September 30th will be orchestral indie folk rock band “The Belle Weather”.
All events are planned to take place from 6-7:30 PM.
