Packer Twitter reading the news that the Packers are having high level conversations with Bisaccia to take over special teams:

YES. This is the way. For those that don’t know who he is, Bisaccia was the special teams coordinator for the Raiders last season up until Jon Gruden somehow became the only person incriminated in the WFT investigation and was fired as the head coach. Bisaccia took over in a bad situation and got the Raiders to the playoffs before becoming the first victim of Joe Cool and the Bengals in the Wild Card round.
But this is a guy that by every account brings a lot of energy and intensity, and was universally LOVED by his players in Las Vegas. To the point where it doesn’t sound like a lot of their star players are happy that Bisaccia didn’t get the head coaching job moving forward.
Plus, look at this guy:

He just LOOKS like a special teams coordinator. Show me that picture without me knowing who he is and ask me what his profession is and I say, ‘special teams coordinator,’ 97 times out of 100. Other guess in order: 1) Bounty Hunter, 2) Social Studies teacher, 3) Time Traveler. I guess that last one for pretty much every one I meet though. I watched Back to the Future WAY too many times as a kid.
Anyway, this seems like the best possible move the Packers could make. They’re in a spot now where the special teams have been so bad, and their coaching decisions on who is selected to run them have been so bad, that you have to overpay to get the best guy on the market. It’s like being in a relationship and you screw up on gift selection for Christmas and Valentine’s Day. You better bring out the big guns for that upcoming birthday or you’re toast.
Semi-related: Reports over the weekend indicate that the Packer hierarchy (LaFleur/Gutekunst/Murphy/Henseler) are all on the same page and want Aaron Rodgers back. There are even reports of Rodgers being offered a *massive* extension. In the words of 12-year old me: No doi they do. Look, we can get mad about the playoff shortcomings all we want, but at the end of the day, keeping Rodgers (my guess is a 2 year deal/3rd year option) is a guaranteed ticket to the playoffs. The NFC North is a dumpster fire. If Rodgers and Adams are back, you essentially give yourself 3 more chances to win a Super Bowl. Maybe you don’t cash any of those chances in, maybe you do. But you still need to make the playoffs in order to win a Super Bowl, and Rodgers being back in the fold basically guarantees you that step in the process.
PS: The reigning world champion Milwaukee Bucks blew the doors off of the Blazers and Clippers on back to back nights and are now .5 games back of the #1 seed in the East. They are still really really really good: Confirmed.
Double PS: ^Hopping on Twitter on Saturday morning to read the news that they signed Greg Monroe to a 10 day contract:
