Sheboygan County Confirmed COVID-19 Cases & 7-day Average 7-9-21 to 3-9-22 from the Wisconsin DHS

REVISIONS DONE TO DEATH, HOSPITALIZATIONS DATA…7-DAY AVERAGE AT 3

Revision have been done to hospitalization and death data reported by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health.

Deaths have been reduced by one, to 257, from 258 reported on Wednesday.  The reduction occurred in the 70-year-old age group, resulting in forty-one deaths among septuagenarians in Sheboygan County.  One-hundred-fourteen casualties were at least 80 years old, forty-one were in their 60s, eighteen were in their 50s, nine were in their 40s, six were in their 30s and one was between 10 and 19 years old.

Hospitalizations were also revised.  Whereas Wednesday’s data listed 1,199 persons hospitalized at least once for treatment of COVID-19 symptoms, Thursday’s number was revised downward by two, to 1,197.  The number of those currently hospitalized was down by four, to 9 current patients.

Only two new cases of COVID-19 were recorded by the County DPH, raising that total to 29,279.  220 cases are active, 84 fewer than on Wednesday.  The 7-day average of new daily COVID-19 cases confirmed in Sheboygan County fell to 3 as of March 9, equal to that last recorded on July 16, 2021.

62.8% of the county population, or 72,324, have received at least one dose of vaccine, 25 more than the previous day.  Another 34 received their second dose of vaccine, raising the number of those fully-vaccinated to 69,132, or 60.0% of the county population.  38 more received their boosters, raising that total to 37,209, or 32.3%.
