There have been few remarkable changes in the pace of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sheboygan County over the last 30 days, as indicated by the graphics from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health’s Coronavirus Case Dashboard.
Figures since last Friday’s update are most notable for the first deaths seen since the end of July. One person at least 80 years old, and another in their 70s are the latest victims in Sheboygan County, bringing the toll to 279. Of those, one county casualty was between 10 and 19 years old, one was in their 20s, six were in their 30s, nine were in their 40s, twenty-two were in their 50s, forty-five were in their 60s, seventy-four were in their 70s and one-hundred-twenty-one were at least 80 years old.
32,509 persons in Sheboygan County have now dealt with the affliction at one time or another – 142 of those added in the last week. Seven are currently hospitalized, compared with 9 at this point last week, and 1,286 persons in all have needed such treatment.
The current level of community transmission in Sheboygan County as measured by CDC standards is “Low”, with 170.8 cases per 100,000 people in the last 7 days. 4.1 new COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 were seen in the last 7 days, compared with 5.7 at this time last week, and 2.3% of inpatient beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients, down from 3.2% last week.
