BACK TO BACK TO BACK FOR THE CREW!!!!
Rowdy got'em started, Anderson followed up, and Garrett Mitchell finished it!
First time the Brewers go B2B2B since 2018!

Listening to Uecker call back-to-back-to-back home runs off of future HOFer Max Scherzer:

On Saturday afternoon, with the Brewers in the midst of a 15 inning scoreless drought to start the season, I texted a buddy of mine, ‘are the Brewers going to score a run this year?’ LOL. Oh, Jon. You’re such a worrier!
Look, I get that we’re 5 games into the season and there’s a LOOOONNNNNGG way to go, but right now this team is a lot of fun to watch. The injection of young energy and talent feels like it has changed the whole mindset of a locker room that had to be reeling after last season’s conclusion. And how can you not love the new home run celebration:

Cheesehead (cheeseHEAD, BA, cheeseHEAD, not wedge) celebration line is WAY better than the Thanos hand or the dugout bell from last season.
Related: I learned something on Twitter last night. I always thought that the cheesehead had it’s origin story connected to the Packers. That is incorrect:

Would you look at that! So the reality is that the Brewers are simply reclaiming something they actually invented. The more you know.
Anyway, what a totally unexpected offensive explosion against one of the best pitchers the game has ever seen. And how about Brian Anderson?? His pace certainly doesn’t feel sustainable, but through five (5) games, he is on the short list of MVP candidates and is a triple crown threat. Those are the facts.
And the cherry on top? A 9-0 game ended in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Again, I’m certain there are baseball traditionalists that are going to bemoan the pitch clock all season, but it is going to save baseball for a new generation. The pacing is better, it doesn’t feel rushed, and people can go to game and not worry about it being a 4-5 hour time commitment.
Corbin Burnes on the hill today looking for a sweep against a pre-season favorite to win the NL. Things you love to see: That.
PS: Wade Miley looked exactly like I remember him looking in 2018. Crafty, working the corners, everything has movement. I don’t expect a start like last night all season, but if he can stay healthy, he brings a veteran presence to a rotation that is still fairly young. The Brewers didn’t make many moves this offseason, but trading for Contreras and signing Miley both seem pretty savvy based on early returns.
Double PS: Add in a Bucks win and a Celtics loss and we had a pretty stellar Tuesday night. Bucks can clinch the #1 seed in the NBA with a win against Chicago tonight. Let’s. Go.
