The Glacial Lakes Conservancy was granted $10,063 to engineer and design plans for a regenerative stormwater conveyance system on the Willow Creek Preserve’s southernmost outfall into the Sheboygan River near Esslingen Park. The money will be put towards plan development, cost estimates and construction permit acquirement.
In Two Rivers, $25,408 will be used by the City to provide Great Lakes education programs by kayak through staff training, installation of an adaptive kayak launch in Two Rivers, assembling a fleet of 14 recreational kayaks, a trailer, essential paddling gear, a wide variety of adaptive paddling equipment, and the addition of “mobi-mats” for the city beach.
