The investigation continues, but the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office reports that weather may have been a factor in a fatal accident on Monday.
Several 9-1-1 calls came in shortly before 4:30 yesterday afternoon reporting a vehicle accident on I-43 southbound at Highway 23. Indications are that weather may have caused a 31-year-old Sheboygan man to lose control of his car, which crossed into the path of a semi. The driver sustained fatal injuries while a 3-year-old passenger in his car was transported by ambulance to Aurora Medical Center-Sheboygan County for assessment after getting minor injuries. The semi driver was not hurt, and no further information is being released at this time.
