Man, you love to see an athlete in their prime doing what they do best. And by that I mean NBA official, Scott Twardoski.
Just a transcendent performance from him during last night’s Bucks/Pistons game. You can’t teach that kind of sense for the moment. He saw a chance to entertain the crowd, and he did it! Because that’s what people pay hundreds of dollars to see at an NBA game on a November Wednesday night. They spend $500 on tickets, $50 on parking, and $100 on concessions to be able to have the PRIVILEDGE of watching someone showcase their craft at an elite level. And that’s what Scott did last night. Can’t wait to buy my Twardoski jersey at the pro shop after the game!
In all seriousness, this twerp needs to be suspended and fined by the NBA for that move last night. I have no clue how Giannis got his first technical foul, but if you are an NBA official, you need to know that he has one, and that you can’t give him a second and eject him unless he does something EGREGIOUS. If Giannis would have punched a Pistons player, and a melee ensued, fine, give him a technical and kick him out of the game. But to call that technical foul and eject him after he stared down an opponent for .2 seconds following a poster dunk is a CRIME.
And the worst part of the whole incident is how SMUG this guy is about it. He took real pleasure in being able to eject a superstar for no real reason. ‘Look at me! Look at me! I’m in control of this game!’- Scott Twardoski
I’m not joking even a little that the NBA should refund every single person that bought tickets to that game, and also refund the really good looking blogger/podcasters that had Bucks -12 last night. Hell, it wouldn’t shock me even a little bit if we found out that Twardoski had the Pistons +12. Bucks were up by 13 points at that point, and ejecting the best player on the floor RADICALLY changed the game. Dame and Brook were able to take over the 4th quarter and get a win, but only by 2 points. I want an investigation!
Bottom line: We won’t get one, but the fans deserve an explanation and a public apology from this squid. Disgusting.
PS: He reminded me of Billy Crystal’s character in Forget Paris with this move:
