Two rollover crashes happened on I-43 within 18 hours on Tuesday, but according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, there were no major injuries in either one.
The first accident happened around 6:40 AM during a heavy downpour on I-43 southbound near Wilson Lima Road. Investigators say that the heavy rain caused the vehicle to hydroplane, leading to a loss of control. The driver – a Sheboygan resident – sustained only minor injuries and no tickets were issued.
The second incident happened around midnight last night when the driver fell asleep, losing control of the northbound vehicle and rolling it over near mile marker 125 just south of the Sheboygan River. One of the four occupants, who were all from Sheboygan, was transported with minor injuries. No citations were issued in that accident.
