Brewers’ Social Media Team breaks people’s brains with a Jacob Misiorowski video.

Live look at social media yesterday trying to discern if this is AI or not:

Now look, I consider myself pretty good at figuring out what’s fake and what’s real on the internet. AI is getting better, deep fakes are getting better, but if you grew up or work with online content like we do here, you can still pretty easily figure out what’s authentic and what’s not. The real question is whether or not this is ALL fake and we’re living in a simulation, but that’s probably a different question for a different day on a different blog.

But this one had me in a pretzel. Is this AI? Is it splicing together two different videos seamlessly? Probably the latter, but I’m not 1,000% sure.

Here’s what (I think) I do know: The guy with the apple on his head is Cooper Pratt. Rising shortstop who played in the Futures Game. It feels very unlikely to me that they would put him a position where he could get domed by a 102 mph Jacob Misiorowski fastball. Right? Right?? I mean it did get 7.1 million views (and counting) on Twitter. That can lead to a lot of Malibu sand for Mark.

Final conclusion: This is really good AI and if this is the direction that AI is heading I may need to opt out of the internet in 2-3 years.
