(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 9, 2026 – Alex Pokorski and the GR8 Team got their first taste of national touring Sprint Car series competition as part of a three-race swing featuring events with the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing and NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series last week in the northern and eastern parts of the state of Wisconsin.
Pokorski made his debut appearance with the High Limit Racing Series at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis. on Wednesday, June 3. With 32 cars checked in for the evening, the West Bend, Wis. native qualified 14th in qualifying group B with a lap of 13.908 seconds.
After placing seventh in the fourth heat race, Pokorski placed ninth in the B Main to miss out on transferring to the evening’s main event.
One night later, the team ventured to Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wis., where Pokorski qualified 21st in the 29-car field in 13.871 seconds. Pokorski then finished seventh in the third heat race before finishing fourth in the B Main to secure his first career High Limit Racing A-main start.
In the main event, Pokorski advanced five positions on the way to a 17th-place showing.
On Saturday, June 6, Pokorski and crew returned to their home track – The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. – to make the team’s NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series debut.
With 33 cars checked in, Pokorski qualified 25th overall with a lap of 11.867 seconds. After placing seventh in the first heat race, Pokorski started fifth in the Last Chance Showdown before dropping back to seventh and missing out on an A-main berth by three spots.
“The B main was a lot of fun in the High Limit event at Gondik Lawin Superior,” Pokorski said. “We got the car more comfortable early in the night, but had to change a wing slider valve after hot laps and then didn’t have time to add fuel, so I was sputtering a bit in qualifying. These High Limit shows move quick, really quick. The High Limit staff was very impressive and kind. I’m looking forward to racing with them again.
“We started one position from an A-main transfer spot in the B with the Outlaws on Saturday at Plymouth,” he said. “However, I wasn’t able to find a comfortable line to move forward and ended up dropping back a couple spots. With our first few national events under our belt, I’m looking forward to racing with the Outlaws again at Cedar Lake in a few weeks.”
After a couple of weekends off, Alex and the GR8 Team will head to Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. for a pair of NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series events on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27.
World of Outlaws races are streamed live on dirtvision.com
