Wisconsin National Guard testing for COVID-19 at the Aging and Disability Resource Center in Sheboygan Falls remains slow, with about 100 specimens taken last Wednesday. 1,300 persons have been tested there since December 11th when sessions were renewed.
Following training for testing young children, persons as young as 12 months can now be tested at our county site after teams were trained to work with younger children. However the National Guard has cancelled this Wednesday’s operations due to cold weather. Sessions here are scheduled each Wednesday from 9 AM till 5 PM through March 10th.
On the vaccination front, distribution is picking up as supplies continue coming into Wisconsin, which according to the CDC now leads the nation in daily vaccinations administered per million residents. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports that as of Monday, 11,032 doses have been administered in Sheboygan County.
