A July 4th celebration just isn’t complete without a parade – on July 3rd in the case of Sheboygan. As with all “Freedom Fest Celebration” events, including the Sheboygan “Y” Freedom Run, King of the Beach Volleyball Tournament, Farmers Market and Song of the Season Salute at Fountain Park and the Freedom Fest Celebration itself at Deland Park, Sheboygan will celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 3rd…although those wanting a warmup can enjoy the Venetian Boat Parade on the riverfront on Friday night.
The Sheboygan Police Department is reminding parade-goers that they are allowed to bring tarps and chairs to hold a spot between the sidewalk and street along the parade route, but no sooner than 5 AM on Saturday the 3rd. Anything placed prior to that time will be considered abandoned property and removed.
The parade begins at 9 AM on Saturday and will go north on 8th Street from Center to Michigan Avenue, east on Michigan to Broughton Drive, then south to Deland Park.
