WAUWATOSA, WI (WHBL) – It’s prison time for the owners of what federal prosecutors are calling a ‘pill mill’ in Wauwatosa.
A judge on Monday sentenced Lisa and Robert Hofschulz for distributing millions of opioid pain pills back in 2015 and 2016.
Lisa Hofschulz will serve 20 years in prison, while Robert will serve just three.
Prosecutors say Lisa was the top prescriber of opioid pain pills and methadone in the entire state. Investigators say some of her patients died because of her over-prescribing.
