PITTSBURGH, PA (WHBL) – Andrew McCutchen drove in all the runs in a 3-2 Brewers win over Pittsburgh Thursday afternoon.
McCutchen went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and a run scored on a first-inning solo home run – the only extra-base hit in the game.
Freddy Peralta turned in a quality start, allowing no earned runs and just three hits over six innings. Brad Boxberger allowed two runs in the 7th for his first blown save of the season.
Hoby Milner earned the win. Devin Williams picked up his first save of the season in place of Josh Hader, who had worked in the previous two games.
The win gives Milwaukee their second three-game sweep of the Pirates in two weeks.
The Brewers return home for a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs beginning Friday evening. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 6:35.
