Meteorological Spring began on March First and the Equinox is less than two weeks away, but you wouldn’t know it by the forecast. The National Weather Service says the next round of winter weather is expected between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon, delivering wet, heavy snow on gusty northeast winds.
In Sheboygan County the highest amounts will be generally in the southeast half, with the lighter totals in the northwest. For the City of Sheboygan, forecasters put their bets on a 7” snowfall, but say that it could be as little as 3 inches or as high as 16. That wide range comes from an experimental forecast, with odds of over a foot coming in at a 1-in-3 chance.
While total snowfall amounts are anything but guaranteed, it is certain that travel will be impacted with the greatest problems late Thursday night through mid-morning on Friday.
