A substantial donation from the Alliant Energy Foundation will enable better public safety in Oostburg. The $10,000 gift was given last week to the Oostburg Fire Department from the company now nearing completion of the nearby Onion River Solar Project, which occupies some one-thousand-acres in the Town of Holland.
Tony Palese, Alliant Energy Senior Communications Partner, said that safety is a core value at Alliant Energy and a primary focus area for the company’s community support. Oostburg Fire Department Chief Nate Voskuil said the department will put the funds toward the purchase of new equipment that will serve the greater community.
In 2022, the Alliant Energy Foundation invested over $1.2 million in community safety and engagement initiatives.
