The two persons who died in a head-on crash last week in Calumet County have been identified.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office said that Town of New Holstein residents, 73-year old Ronald Woelfel and his 70-year-old wife, Nancy, died when the southbound pickup truck they were in collided head-on with an SUV driven by 57-year-old Vicky Fesing of the Town of Chilton. Fesing is still hospitalized in critical condition at Ascension Chilton Medical Center at last report.
The crash happened on Highway 32/57 about halfway between Chilton and New Holstein. It’s not known who was at fault or why, however both vehicles were found in the southbound lane of travel, and the investigation continues.
