The Wisconsin Department of Emergency Management has begun assessing damages that resulted from severe storms and flooding last month. Federal, state and local officials are conducting the joint effort, a critical step to determine the extent of damages and validate initial damage estimates submitted by counties.
Among those more-than-20 counties is Manitowoc, which is being assessed for both Individual assistance which concerns impacts to homes and residents, and public assistance that determines impacts to public infrastructures.
Anyone in Manitowoc County who hasn’t yet reported damage to their home should call 2-1-1 or visit the 211 Wisconsin Damage Report site.
