The artists, food trucks, entertainment, volunteers and other workers needed to pull off one of Sheboygan’s signature summer events are all in place; all that’s needed now is cooperation from the weather for the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Midsummer Festival of the Arts scheduled for this Saturday from 10 AM until 5 PM.
The event, held on the Arts Center grounds and City Green features up to 100 juried artists, including returning award winners from last year. Original works of art include media like ceramics, painting, photography, metal, fiber, watercolor, wood, jewelry and others. There’ll also be live music and performances, exhibitions, hands-on art making, demonstrations and more.
As for that weather – Saturday’s forecast calls for sunshine and temperatures in the low 90s, with only an outside chance of a thunderstorm getting in the way of a good time.
