Wisconsin Air National Guard fighter jets will again be noticeable later this week as they add their distinctive rumble to the air. The evening training flights will take place both Wednesday and Thursday and could be heard as late as 10:45PM. Sheboygan and surrounding counties are within the flight path of the F-35 fighter jets stationed at Truax Field in Madison.
The 115th Fighter Wing said that they usually practice during the day, but pilots and maintenance crews are required to conduct nighttime runs as part of overall readiness. They also said that flight paths are designed to minimize noise, and that they appreciate the public’s overall support.
