An organization that provides free critical home repairs and accessibility modifications to low-income homeowners is pairing with AARP for a series of talks about Aging-in-Place for Sheboygan County seniors.
Rebuilding Together Sheboygan County said the first session will be on Tuesday at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church on Highway 32 in Howards Grove, and will discuss key points on home ownership and situations to avoid based on interactions that Rebuilding Together has had with previous clients. Another portion will address home safety, home maintenance, and services provided by Rebuilding Together, and comes with a checklist of seasonal items that should get annual attention.
While aimed at older adults, anyone is welcome to attend, and all will receive a HomeFit guide from AARP.
Three more sessions are planned in the coming weeks at various locations in Sheboygan County:
- Wednesday, August 19th at 11 AM at Generations, 1500 Douglas Dr, Plymouth
- Wednesday, September 9th at 10 AM at Uptown Social, 1817 N 8th St, Sheboygan
- Thursday September 17th at 11 AM at Adell Community Center, 510 Siefert St., Adell
