The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is warning residents to check their homes for alfalfa sprouts from Everything Sprouts and Calco after 17 cases of E. Coli and Salmonella were identified.
The advisory went out on Thursday and also in Minnesota where 23 cases connected to the greens were identified.
Any alfalfa sprouts under the Everything Sprouts and Calco brands should be thrown away and not eaten. Anyone who has eaten these alfalfa sprouts should monitor for symptoms of Salmonella and E. Coli infection and contact a health care provider if symptoms become severe.
