DAIRY NEWS – Strong dairy businesses are built on a number of management areas, including the ability to interpret financial information, evaluate business opportunities, manage growth and make strategic decisions that support the business for the long term.
Dairy producers and industry professionals can sharpen those skills at the 2026 Business Management & Advanced Finance Workshop presented by Professional Dairy Producers® (PDP). The two-day workshop will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, and Thursday, Oct. 29, at Compeer Financial in Sun Prairie, Wis.
Led by nationally recognized financial and business management consultant Dick Wittman, the workshop combines interactive case studies and practical applications designed specifically for agricultural businesses. Core topics will include farm management proficiency, financial statements, metrics and simulation, cash flow budgeting, cost and managerial accounting, family business governance and growth management. Participants will complete assignments before attending the workshop, providing an opportunity to apply course principles to their own operating data and making classroom discussions more relevant to their business.
Wittman has worked for decades with agricultural businesses on financial management, family business governance and transition planning.
PDP Business Management & Advanced Finance Workshop is accredited for up to 12.5 Dairy AdvanCE (DACE) continuing education credits.
