The Republican Party of Sheboygan County is making noise after a Democrat organizer with a New York drivers license was involved in the hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle in Sheboygan.
According to a screen shot of his LinkedIn profile, provided by the Republican Party, Dean Shannon is a UW-Madison student and Field Organizer for the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee. Republicans say Shannon’s LinkedIn Profile no longer lists him as an organizer. He was reportedly operating in the 26th District, which is currently represented by Democrat Joe Sheehan who is challenged in the November Election by Republican John Belanger. Sheehan won the seat by just 845 votes in the previous election.
Police reports obtained by County Republicans show Shannon was charged with striking a legally-parked vehicle at 12:38 AM the morning of September 10th on Broadway Avenue near South 11th Street and leaving the scene, and for operating without insurance. When contacted by Police, Shannon reportedly declined to talk without an attorney being present.
