No one was injured in a Sunday morning traffic incident in Fond du Lac County. The situation began with a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy conducting stationary radar in the median of I-41 near Lost Arrow Road in the Town of Byron when a vehicle passed at 107 MPH in a posted 70 MPH zone.
The deputy, with lights and siren activated, caught up to the vehicle, which didn’t yield to the officer and instead continued northbound until reaching Highway 151. The driver exited but didn’t stop at the off-ramp lights and continued into the ditch along the on-ramp to northbound I-41 where it crashed.
Multiple deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop and took the driver, a 31-year-old Menasha woman, into custody. No one else was in the vehicle and no one was injured.
The suspect is now in the Fond du Lac County Jail on Felony Fleeing and Eluding and OWI charges, as well as facing several traffic citations.
