Only the last items on the DOT’s checklist remain to be finished as the 8-month-long project to renovate I-43 in Sheboygan County draws to a close. Construction began march 2nd and involved milling and resurfacing I-43 between Highway 42 and Wilson Lima Road along with its access ramps, replacing and rehabbing bridges,, and replacing 10 sign structures associated with the Highway 23 interchange.
The weekly announcement of impacts from the DOT is simple: There will be various nightly lane closures on I-43 Monday through Friday, with daily lane closures Monday through Friday on eastbound and westbound Highway 23 between Taylor Drive and County Highway Y. Drivers are advised to pay attention to signage.
