I mean this breakdown is A++++++++++. And it’s basically just lip reading! For those that didn’t see the one Jomboy did earlier in the season for the Rhys Hoskins/Jeff McNeil dust up, that one is also a classic:

Side note: This Brewer team has some EDGE to them, don’t they? I can’t remember a squad with this many suspensions and benches clearing brawls in an entire regular season, let alone in the first MONTH of the regular season. That’s got to be the Pat Murphy factor. As evidenced by the way he went after Guccione, dude is just grizzled. And this team is mirroring that. The Brewers haven’t had a lot of juice in recent years and my guess is that’s because they had a pencil-necked stiff as a manager (no offense).
A few other things in no particular order:
- Suspensions were levied yesterday for everyone’s involvement in Tuesday’s actions. No surprise that Siri and Uribe got suspensions, I guess no surprise that Murphy did either. But Freddy Peralta getting 5 games (1 start) is ABSURD. No one can prove that he hit Siri on purpose anyway, but he doesn’t get a single warning, gets ejected, and then gets a 5-game suspension? He didn’t even fuss when he got tossed. Just stood there calmly and walked off. He didn’t escalate anything. Nuts.
- Guccione’s crew couldn’t help themselves from getting involved in yesterday’s game as well. Thyago Vierira had a blue glove with a grey patch on it, he used it on Tuesday night and no one said boo. Then yesterday he came out with it again and Guccione called a meeting with his fellow divas and determined that it was an illegal glove. Which, *TECHNICALLY*, it is. But then why not do something on Tuesday? So that makes four, FOUR, days in a row where the umpiring crew in a Brewer game had to inject it with some kind of drama. I’ve never seen anything like it. Major League Baseball needs to start putting the umpiring crew assignments right next to the probable starting pitchers every day if they’re going to be this involved in the action. I may legit buy tickets the next time Guccione’s crew is at Am Fam Field, can’t miss it!
Through it all the Brewers got a much needed 7-1 yesterday and took the series from the Rays. Speaking of Rays, how about Colin Rea? 3-0 with a 2.67 ERA in 6 starts?? The #1 thing I was worried about coming into the season was the starting rotation missing it’s co-aces, Woodruff and Burnes. But I forgot that we have Peralta and Rea! Easy fix, apparently. The Crew is sitting at 19-11 and getting set for their first showdown with Counsell and the Cubs at Wrigley tomorrow. Let’s go!
PS: Doesn’t feel like Giannis and Dame are going to be back tonight. But you know what? That leads to a low-pressure viewing experience. Just like Tuesday night. I’m kind of expecting a loss, so anything positive that happens is unexpected. This is pretty much how I operated with this franchise from 2002-2019, so it’s actually a comfortable spot. Bucks in 7?? Sure!
