YEESH. That is a broken man. I almost feel bad. Almost.
Let’s take you back to Sunday (time travel sounds). Cubs/White Sox on the Southside of Chicago. PCA is getting razzed all game, and eventually makes a decent play in centerfield. At which point he approaches a White Sox fan, a woman who I assume has been showering him with nothing but compliments all day, and tells her to, “s my f-ing d, b.” YIKES.
Welp, since then:
Ever since PCA talked back to that White Sox fan in centerfield, he has STRUGGLED mightily 😬 pic.twitter.com/PnNnhtUH8L

In the words of Jen Bielema, #karma.
Overall: what a series. There are sweeps, and then there are SWEEPS. Pat Murphy managed circles around Craig Counsell all week. The pitching was elite. The defense? Lockdown. The Brewer capitalized on every error, every crease, any inch they were given all series long. It was a masterclass. They tossed the Cubs around the squared circle like the Cubs were a jobber who started in the ring with their legal name getting announced.
Now look, we’ve got a LONG way to go. And my feeling is that at some point the Cubs will get back to the way they looked to begin the season. But this was a tone setter. This was a, “don’t forget, we’ve won the division three years in a row, and we are the champ until proven otherwise” type of series.
Now a rematch with the Dodgers. The Brewers started a REALLY difficult 15-game stretch of schedule with the Yankees series over Mother’s Day weekend. Honestly, I thought 8-7 over that 15 game run would be decent. They’re currently 10-2 with three games to go.
PS: I assume the Red Sox are just not going to do business with Matt Arnold ever again. Last year we poached Quinn Priester and turned him into a 13 game-winner with a 3.30 ERA who was started NLDS and NLCS games. This year we poach Kyle Harrison, a former top prospect who was given up on by both the Giants and Red Sox. He comes to Milwaukee in the Caleb Durbin deal and all he’s done is go 5-1 with a 1.77 ERA. Insane.
