Manitowoc and Washington are among the counties included in Governor Tony Evers’ formal request for a disaster declaration from President Trump. The request is in response to severe storms and flooding last month, which caused widespread destruction throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Governor Evers’ request includes the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Individual Assistance for affected residents and families, Public Assistance for emergency work and infrastructure repairs, and FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program to help reduce the the impact of future disasters for the entire state.
