Sheboygan’s Department of Public Works has some unplanned tasks ahead of them as recent heat has buckled pavement on Broughton Drive. The area of concern is the block that fronts the YMCA between Wisconsin Avenue and Washington Court.
DPW crews will remove and replace the concrete pavement at the pedestrian crossing in front of the “Y”, and people will need to use the crosswalks at either Wisconsin or Washington during the repairs.
Detours have been put in place using Niagara Avenue, North 4th Street and Penn Avenue, and for now there’s been no completion date announced as that will depend upon the weather.
